Who We Are
A small team, built around one structural framework
A lean, sales-led team spanning Lyon, Hangzhou, Kuala Lumpur, Ningbo, Shanghai, and Singapore. We built one thing, a codified structural framework for Chinese governance and capital structures, and apply it the same way, every time.
Our Mission
Make structural risk visible before it becomes a loss
Foreign investors often can't tell if formal control matches who actually runs the company. Our mission is to close that gap, not by deciding for the committee, but by giving them a clear, consistent read.
Our Product
One codified rule engine. One IC-ready report.
A structural rule engine, 53 codified rules checking every deal against three lenses: governance, capital dependency, political exposure. The output: one report for your investment committee, not a valuation or recommendation. Access is sales-led.
How We Work
Governance
Whether formal control matches who actually holds day-to-day authority.
Capital Dependency
Where capital and revenue actually originate, and what that means for incentives.
Political Exposure
How exposed a structure is to shifts in regulation, enforcement, or policy.
No recommendations, no valuations — the final call stays with your investment committee.

Academic Insight From
Professor Andrew Delios is a Professor of Strategy & Policy and Vice-Dean, MSc Programs at the National University of Singapore (NUS), whose research examines strategy, governance, and political risk in emerging-market multinationals, including publicly listed Chinese firms. He directed ZINVEO toward the academic literature on political risk in emerging markets, informing how the framework treats the relationship between political and governance risk in Chinese structures.
Professor Anastasia Zakolyukina is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College (CUNY), with a PhD from Stanford Graduate School of Business. She co-authored the foundational study on detecting deceptive language in corporate earnings calls (Journal of Accounting Research, 2012). She pointed ZINVEO toward the deception-detection literature, while cautioning that her method, validated on English-language, publicly listed companies, has not been tested on unlisted, non-English-speaking founders, a limit ZINVEO keeps in view.
Professor Shen Wei is a leading expert in Chinese corporate law and foreign investment, with a PhD from LSE and an LLM from Cambridge. His expert opinion has been accepted by the Hong Kong High Court and cited by Singapore's Supreme Court. He has directly advised ZINVEO's framework on VIE enforceability, SAFE regulatory control, and minority investor protection under Chinese company law.
Professor Yongxiang Wang is a Chair Professor of Finance at SAIF, previously tenured at USC's Marshall School of Business. His research on political economy and corporate governance in China has appeared in the Journal of Political Economy and Management Science, and been covered by the Wall Street Journal and The Economist. He shared academic insight with ZINVEO on information asymmetry between Chinese founders and foreign investors.
Professor Xin Chang ("Simba") is a President's Chair Professor in Finance at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), with research published in all four top finance journals (Journal of Finance, JFE, RFS, JFQA). His co-authored research on corporate accounting behavior under political and institutional pressure has informed ZINVEO's approach to assessing governance quality in Chinese firms.
Professor Lin Lin is an Associate Professor at NUS Law and Deputy Director of its Centre for Banking and Finance Law, and author of Venture Capital Law in China (Cambridge University Press, 2021). Her research on valuation adjustment mechanisms in Chinese VC contracts, drawn from a dataset of 253 Chinese court judgments, informs how ZINVEO evaluates founder-level contractual risk and governance change after a financing round.
